Kicking Off a Brain-Friendly School Year

Kicking off this upcoming school year with laughter, joy, wellness, and mental health is our best hope for teacher retention and our kids’ futures.

Much has been digitally aired and written about "The Great Resignation." Did you know that teachers have joined this club? It’s called — not too cleverly, but accurately — “The Great Teacher Resignation.”

The NEA recently found that 55 percent of its members are now thinking about leaving the profession earlier than they had originally planned. (For proof I didn't just make this up, see this local news report from Florida.)

And you know, I love a good joke, but this sadly is not one of them. The number of teachers exiting schools nationwide is yet another in a not-so-short list of OMG emergencies our country is unprepared to deal with.

So, enter funny educator Tim Clue to the rescue? Yeah, right! We know that laughter is a connector and healer and even an expeditious bit of catharsis — but I’m traditionally only hired for a day, not the entire year!
